这本zine以山浮士多与朋友的对话为原料，从中萃取了对生活的种种思考与感受。这些思考与感受碎片拼凑起生活的种种面向：关于孤独；关于爱情；关于自我认知；关于理想主义；关于语言与文字；关于成长；和其中最重要的，关于自由。

因碎片性，故每一页相对独立，可由任意页读起。因从对话中萃取，上下文的语境可任意想象；读者可根据作者应答中的蛛丝马迹推测未在场的问题从而给出自己的回答；也可对作者的应答提问；如此这条由思考与感受组成的语义之河将会流动起来，由作者的朋友流向作者，又由作者流向读者，最终流向每个人心底的未知之境。

这条河流浮在河面能观察到的是逻辑，是头脑，是理性；跳进河中能感受到的是情绪，是心理，是感性；潜入河底能体验到的是宗教，是灵魂，是自由。
